how it all began

by Schuyler Elliot

"Growing up, I always felt that there was a huge divide within our society, and I found myself uncomfortably right in the middle of that gap. Growing up, I was a saved believer in Jesus Christ, but I didn't fit the ideal "quiet," "soft-spoken," "love, joy, peace" kind of Christian girl. I lived between two worlds: the Christian community of meekness and subservience and the community of the world, where destruction and conformity were a part of an everyday routine.

For the longest time, I was immobilized by the fear that I couldn't openly speak the truth of the Word of God and be accepted by the world at the same time. So I opted for the safe and comfortable option of silence until I learned that silence leads to a purposeless life that manifests in people pleasing and denial of the truth that was hidden in my heart. I had to learn and realize that our goal should never be to be accepted by the world or by society because that's when we submit ourselves to compromise, conformity, and subservience.

We often forget that our Savior is and was a Warrior who came to spread truth to all without hesitation. He never commanded us to care about the opinions of others. But He did call us to walk in truth. So why should we strive for anything less than what He has asked of us?

I had to learn that our culture and society needs raw, honest truth now more than ever. It is our responsibility to expose the lies and the manipulative cultures that our opponent uses to deceive us. Despite the attacks, we know that our God is greater than any falsehood and any deceitful illusion.

How will anyone experience freedom in Christ if we fail to complete our mission to share how great our God truly is? It's time to stop tip-toeing around feelings while living in the bondage and fear of cancel culture. We are killing fear and moving in truth. Join the movement."

Then change it.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
